Good God in heaven and everything that’s holy – not my Kermit!!

Could Lady GaGa possibly think that wearing a coat of tiny Kermits could increase her fan base? Perhaps angering PETA supporters with fur coats is too cliché for her? Maybe she instead decided to target the lovers, the dreamers and ME with this coat of barbaric unsophistication?! How dare she even try to associate her fly-by-night self with a muppet legend?! Good grief!

I mean, my jaw literally dropped at the sight of this and my heart sunk down into my stomach. It’s all kinds of wrong. My little Kermie… gulp. I can’t say that I’ve bonded with Lady GaGa and her music, but let me just state for the record that this woman is officially dead to me. If you ever catch me listening, singing or dancing to this heathen trash, just hold up two ping pong balls in front of your eyes to remind me what’s right in the world.

This act of blasphemy should not go unpunished. We need to come together on behalf of talking amphibians everywhere. Those of us in our 30s who grew up learning that The Rainbow Connection had nothing to do with being gay, those of us who knew when it was time to play the music and light the lights, those of us who remember when Kermit reported the news on sesame street before becoming the frustrated stage manager, those of us who know where to “be careful of the icy patch” – who’s with me!? Who’s with me on creating a coat of HER body parts and see how SHE likes it?! Okay… maybe too extreme, but I have a good mind to write a strong letter to that demon-woman. I might have to bring in Cath on this one. :)

Can you even imagine sewing these heads together?  *pouting* I think my tears have actually turned green. :-(
